Welcome to my pro-gay rights and pro-same sex marriage (“SSM”) USA blog!

As the title suggests, this blog is a promotion of gay rights and same sex marriage that’s focus primarily on the USA (with a spattering of international gay news).


A) The focus from now May 2011 to December 2011 will be as follows:

1. Federal law and federal court decisions on:

a. repealing the Defense of Marriage Act (“DOMA”) [not yet]

b. repealing the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (“DADT”) [YES! Done]

c. passing the Employment Nondiscrimination Act (“ENDA”) [not yet]

d. amending the Fair Housing Act (“FHA”) to include sexual orientation and gender identity [not yet].

2. Other state’s attempt to pass gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender (“GLBT”) equality laws - whether it passes or fails.
3. Other state’s attempt to RESTRICT GLBT rights.
4. Other nation’s attempt to pass GLBT equality laws - whether it passes or fails.
5. Other nation’s attempt to RESTRICT GLBT rights.


B) I’m trying to decide about staying in Hot Springs, AR or temporarily moving to New York City in 2011 (a big part of this is NO money and no where to stay.  If you're a rich gay man in NYC who's reading this and wouldn't mind being my suger daddy [any age {18+} & any race] , then leave a comment below).

The heart of this debate in my mind is that I want to do the following:

1. Learn to be a gay rights activist (how to start a group, get organized, mobilize my team members, etc).

2. Learn how to defend myself via the “Guided Chaos” Method. This method is based on the idea that when there’s a street fight, mugging, robbing, etc, there’s no “chorography” or organizing going on when you need to defend yourself. All the mugger wants is your wallet (or purse) and he’ll do whatever it takes to get it - including punching you, knocking you over, hitting you on the head, etc. Therefore, Guided Chaos assumes this and engages in self-defense with the attitude of a “cornered sewer rat” (their phrase)!

3. Improve my self-image (I tend to be a butch straight-shooter). I want to learn how to talk, dress, eat, etc in order to be more a “gentleman”. Also I want to be able to present myself more favorably both online and in real life to attract men for a possible boyfriend and (hopefully) a future husband.
